Press Release: SKYOPS and Drone Flight Company combine strengths

Alphen aan den Rijn and Hoofddorp, Nederland – SKYOPS and Drone Flight Company (DFC) have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at simplified management of aviation safety related to drone operations and regulatory processes.

The partners’ objective is to further develop a standard approach that governs, for example, the planning, usage and automated reporting of data along flight planning, licenses and currencies, maintenance and safety operations. This would harmonize and further automate processes, both within and between companies – thus achieving substantial efficiency gains for its mutual clients. Given the strength of both companies’ value proposition across this industry, organizations utilizing drones stand to gain from their collaboration. “We need strong partnerships if we are to advance the usage of corporate drone use in the Netherlands and Europe. By creating a standard offering together with DFC, we are creating added value for our mutual customers,” explains Mr. Ingmar van Leth, cofounding CEO SKYOPS.COM.

The partnership holds special promise for drone-utilizing organizations, and offers a particular benefit for the industry, with the introduction of new regulations last January 1, 2021. At the core of this collaboration is the use of SKYOPS.COM within Drone Flight Company Drone Integration  program. The program is to integrate drones for companies to use on a daily basis. “Starting December 31, 2020, EU Regulation 2019/947, will be fully applicable for most types of operation and their levels of risk and caters three categories of operations: the ‘open’, ‘specific’ and ‘certified’ categories’”, says Roel van der Wal, the founding CEO of Drone Flight Company.

Process, technology, and experts from both companies are working closely together as they focus all their efforts on driving a combined solution available to those that seek drone integration starting January 1, 2021. SKYOPS.COM will become an integral part of the integration to facilitate a considerable increase in the options for real-time analysis and operational control optimization.

Greater control, more safety in a dynamic environment

With its in-depth expertise in aviation safety, SKYOPS and DFC will help shape the further drone integration and operation – to its own benefit but also to the benefit of a mutual large customer base. Next to being the specialized drone integrator, DFC will play a crucial role in the configuration and integration of SKYOPS.COM as partner and advisor, thanks to its multifaceted experience and leadership in implementing drone systems at organizations. The goal of standardizing and automating processes is to significantly simplify the drone flight operation, continuously optimize workflows, and increase confidence still further in dealing with real-time analysis. There is considerable potential for optimizing the decentralized operation, planning, and requirements, especially at the interfaces to auditors and to customers. For the first time, the latest technologies make this possible in real-time across the entire value chain and involving all parties. This leads to a permanent improvement in competitiveness and agility, from the corporate management level all the way to production.
